Position:  Sr Product Manager - Encompass

Salary:  $150K - $170K/yr d.o.e.

Location: Remote OK - If living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work a hybrid schedule

Overview:

This role serves as the primary point of contact for the products they oversee. Senior Product Managers play a crucial role in a product’s growth, always prioritizing its success and the needs of its users. They define the strategic vision and direction by identifying opportunities, conducting market research, establishing product requirements, determining specifications, setting production schedules and pricing, and developing comprehensive launch and marketing strategies.

They consistently generate innovative feature ideas and critically assess which will have the greatest impact. They excel at measuring and interpreting the outcomes of their team’s efforts. Collaboration is key— thriving in team environments, working closely with top engineers and designers. They effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, perform well under pressure, and meet deadlines efficiently.

Expertise in Encompass product development is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees multiple related products or a complex product portfolio within the same domain, balancing tactical execution and strategic alignment; manages complex backlogs across products, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and cross-team dependencies.
  • Become an authority on your product area. Identify customer needs and business opportunities through a combination of user research, competitive analysis, collecting feedback from various internal sources, and data analysis, and navigate competing priorities effectively and aligns teams on decisions that maximize business value.
  • Understands the audience and the core problems the product solves.
  • Acts as a spokesperson for the vision and strategy across the organization.
  • Stays informed about the business model, value drivers, and KPIs of the supported business area.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure alignment between product goals and business strategy.
  • Aligns product initiatives with business strategies, advocating for changes where needed to meet evolving goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to influence business priorities and ensure alignment between strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with Principal PM/Director to draft Quarterly PSR.
  • Maintains a groomed and prioritized backlog of features, enhancements and local epics and portfolio epics
  • Works closely with stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements
  • Leverages an objective prioritization framework to evaluate the quantitative value of a feature
  • Create and maintain the product roadmap and set priorities with consideration to business impact, risks, compliance requirements, effort, dependencies, etc.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Designers, Architecture, and Engineering to develop epic, feature, and story readiness.
  • Partner with support, training, and any other business units to provide superior service and experience to users.
  • Drive execution in partnership with Engineering and Design peers, making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, mitigating risks, and ensuring clear communication.
  • Help team with removing impediments and blockers where you can aid.
  • Ensure stakeholders and business leaders are kept informed through effective engagements and Product Strategy reviews.
  • Prepares teams for larger-scale product launches, coordinating efforts across multiple teams. (Feature Availability, Platform readiness, Resource availability for engineering support and production support)
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters to ensure team readiness and clarity in sprint planning, story sizing, demos, and release schedules.
  • Assist in determining product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Ensure that usage and reporting is available while tracking and working towards ROI goals.
  • Respond promptly to team communications to ensure development continues smoothly.
  • Work closely with NAF legal team to ensure that our product is continuing to stay compliant.
  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude that energizes the team.
  • Do not wait to be approached by business, always come to business first.
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements and appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices by attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Expectations are not limited to the above.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager
  • Prior experience with Encompass development is required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • Prior experience in Mortgage is preferred
